Crockpot: Mussels in Tomato Sauce


1 can of diced tomatoes

1 mini bottle of Pinot Grigio wine

1/4 cup of cut ginger

1/4 cup of cut garlic

1 whole onion diced

Black garlic

Himalayan salt

Crushed red pepper

Ginger powder

Garlic powder

Black peppercorn (crushed

1 box of mussels (washed


In a crockpot, add the cut ginger, garlic, and onions.  Pour diced tomatoes, and Pinot Grigio wine.  Let cook on high for 3 hours. 

After 3 hours, then add, black garlic, Himalayan salt, crushed red pepper, ginger powder, garlic powder, and crushed black pepper.  Let cook on low for 3 hours

Then add box of mussels and let simmer for 1 hour.
